NIGHTHAWKS AND EVOLUTION FC (EFC) SAN FRANCISCO YOUTH CLUB PARTNERSHIP   The San Francisco Nighthawks are pleased to announce their partnership with The Evolution FC Youth Soccer Club from San Francisco. With the launch of the new WPSL's U-20 and U-23 League, placement of a quality local youth league into the 'Hawks Nest is a natural progression for the San Francisco premier soccer team. Evolution FC will be the 'Hawks exclusive San Francisco youth club. The Burlingame Soccer Club are their exclusive youth club from the Pennisula, and the WCCYSL Benicia Strikers represent the East Bay. Evolution FC (EFC), established in 2010, has grown rapidly in SF due mainly to their successful training methods and the quality of their trainers, resulting in the development of dynamic players at a young age. They are a perfect fit with the Nighthawks organization, as they mirror many of the same philosophies as the 'Hawks. According to Dave Anderson, Executive Director of Coaching for Evolution FC, "We want to make a difference in San Francisco Soccer as a whole. As a graduate of SF's St Ignatius, I am a homegrown product who has been living the past 15 years in the east bay and has been a student of the game as a coach, board member, referee and coaching instructor. " "I intend to put all the experience I have acquired to good use and create a soccer experience for the youth in SF that all can be proud of. We offer every level of play from recreational, select, to the most competitive teams in the state. Evolution FC is excited to partner with the SF Nighthawks for our girls program. It is important for soccer players of any gender to have role models and to be able to see where soccer can lead to as they age. " For the Nighthawks, Jill Lounsbury General Manager had this to say "For years we have seen women's professional soccer start and falter. It seemed to me, that the only way to make it flourish is to do it the way Europe does it, with the Academy system. To provide a strong foundation of youth and young adult soccer, and create a local feeder system and fan base to support the premiere players and game. For the past few seasons we have seen all our best players go overseas, where they are treated like rock stars and local heros. We need to provide that for our players right here in San Francisco so they can stay and be the role models for our own youngsters." The partnership with Evolution FC is the start of the Nighthawks own academy system. The 'Hawks will help funnel EFC payers into coaching positions and the club will funnel players to the 'Hawks. GM Jill adds, "What I like best about EFC's program is they remind us why we play - because the game is fun and it is beautiful when played correctly - we play for the love of the game, the love of our teammates and the love of our community,"
